As Apple introduces the new iPhone 14 series, WhatsApp will no longer work on some out-of-date iOS devices

Frequently, WhatsApp no longer supports certain smartphone models. This was particularly valid in November of the previous year.

Some KaiOS, Android, and iOS devices are no longer compatible with WhatsApp. Soon after, the app will only function with iOS 12 and later, even though the iPhone 14 is ready for release.

Certain iPhone models must inevitably be left out of this. Even while most users use modern smartphones, other users continue to use older devices. We specifically consider users who, for a long period, used an iPhone 5 but now have to upgrade.

WABetaInfo reveals:

“Unfortunately, for internal reasons, WhatsApp is now planning to drop support for some iOS versions over the next few months: we are talking about iOS 10 and iOS 11.”

“Update to the latest version of iOS to continue using WhatsApp.” The app will stop supporting this version of iOS after October 24, 2022.

Or, the important day when some WhatsApp users will be away. If your iPhone is still running iOS 10 or iOS 11, you must upgrade to iOS 12 in order to continue using WhatsApp. By upgrading to the system’s 12th version, you can still use the app properly on your iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6S.

However, iOS 12 is incompatible with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C. The WhatsApp app will therefore no longer be supported by the latter by the end of October. Users should stop using WhatsApp if they must use these obsolete devices.

While the app with the green logo is still generating headlines, new WhatsApp features have appeared. The Android version of the WhatsApp Communities feature has recently begun to roll out.
