Stonebwoy, Ghana’s finest dancehall superstar, demonstrates a reluctance to slow down with his fifth studio album. “There’s no other name that could accurately describe my fifth studio album,” he tells Apple Music. “From where I am, I want to continue to contribute to my culture, my time, and my generation.” The fifth dimension extends beyond the physical into the astral and spiritual realms. Stonebwoy has continually demonstrated his willingness to experiment with his sound, which is evident throughout the album’s 17 tracks. On “Apotheke,” he even travels into amapiano territory with South African great DJ Maphorisa, demonstrating the same passion he does on his distinctive dancehall-meets-Afrobeats tunes.
