Born on the 10th day of September in the year 1986,Atindogo Edgar Akugri as he is known by family and close relatives is a high life, hip life, hiphop, afrobeats and afropop Artiste who hails from Kusanaba a town in the Bawku West District.

EdgarStone attended and successfully completed his basic education in Kusanaba primary, kusanaba JHS and continued to Bawku SHS where he completed his secondary Education. He went further to JAHAN Training College in the Upper West Region, Wa. After college he also continued and studied BACHELOR’S DEGREE in University of Education Winneba (UEW) and he is currently a teacher in Bongo Senior High School .

He is a married man and from a family of music lovers , his mum sings and his Dad too loves music so he started singing at an early age .

According him ,his music career started when he was in the College in Wa. He started recording in the middle 2000s in a studio in Wa by then called Echo sounds. The engineer’s name was Bebey ,that was in the year 2007. That same year he recorded two tracks with Wiyaala but unfortunately they couldn’t continue those projects because Wiyaala was becoming big and was so busy and also travelling up and down. He started with his friend Adongo Song Mezob, a.k.a Black as a group and later on Mezob was not able to continue the journey with him because of some uncontrollable circumstances.

He moved to Sunyani the following year that’s 2008 where he recorded his first studio album titled “girima” with Patua a sound engineer at Gomz studios. He had many hit songs from the album including ” ya’at wo Salima featuring Mezob, a.k.a Black , money go, beuog ya’an ny33ya Etc .

Music in the upper East region during the 2000s was not easy at all , according to EdgarStone he learned how to record his own songs at a very early stage where he uses the dry sells tape to record his music until he got tutorials from Echo sounds and Gumz studios where he became an engineer himself and was able to complete his album . His studio is currently working and his junior brother Young Pop who is also musician is managing.

EdgarStone is pacesetter for upper east music, he has shown his concern for the development of the music industry ,according to him it was difficult to blow because of the lack of social media then and the support was also less .But upon all that he is able to stand firm till date . He sings in kusaal blended with pidgin and English language.

He has achieved a lot as he is able to sustain his musical powers he is mostly called the legend of kusaug music and upper east music as well. He has performed in almost all musical concerts in kusaug especially Zebilla and Binaba. When we also talk of collaborations ,he has worked with most of the young and upcoming musicians in the kusaug area. He has worked with, Young Pop,Spyro Ranks,Immabugee,Boey-p, Trigger A ,Sunjet Beatz,Rockcity Kurt ,Taata,Eil Beatz,etc. Watch out for more as he preparing to work on a new album after releasing so many singles for a period of time.

Meet Blarzzy the new king from Zebilla [Artiste Profile]

Hamidu Asami Avoka , Born on 12th may, 2005 better known by his stage name Blarzzy is a Ghanaian hip-hop and Afrobeat artiste Zebilla , Googo to be specific in the Upper east region.

Blarzzy was born in Googo where he grew up and attended his basic school in Googo , he furthered his secondary education at Bolgatanga Technical Institute where he successfully completed on September,2021.

Blarzzy started his music career at an early age where he started recording with Boey P who is also from Googo. He has been able to perform with some popular artistes in Kusaug in many concerts and shows in Zebilla such as ;Trust no man album launch which was a historic event in the zebilla Senior High Technical School dinning hall organized by Boey P plus many others shows.

He has so far recorded songs with Swagger and B.Boy in their songs titled “we dey” and ” prayers” respectively.

Even though Blarzzy have not gain the much attention from award schemes yet we hope he will soon get nominations and win bigger and prestigious awards in his name.

Blarzzy actually is a hard-working artiste who doesn’t only believe in talent but also thinks that hard work is part of the game . He is seriously working on a studio extended play (EP) which is called “the return EP” which is yet to be released soon.

The return EP is fully recorded and produced Boey p .

Ras Cumbolo: Biography, Career,Achievements ,Contributions, real name (Details)

Ras Cumbolo was born on January, 14th 1979 in the Kwabibirim South District Assembly in a Suburb call Akim Oda in the Eastern region by late Mr and Mrs Peter Simon Rincles, Mariama Mbama Tampuran Ndenab who are both from Binduri District Assembly- Sakpari Natingah and Aniisin communities.


Ras Cumbolo was named Winimi Williams Ndenab and commonly called Baba by my village folks, Winimi (was/ is) an adopted name of my grandfather just because of resemblance.
Started basic education at the St. Peter’s primary school at Binduri central briefly from 1982 to 1987 and moved to join his parents in the Eastern Region, when his parents moved to Tamale in the Northern Region in 1988. When his father was on a transfer as a staff of Ghana Meteorological Agency then Meteorological Service.
Cumbolo started his primary school with Bagabaga Demonstration primary in the education ridge from 1992 to 1996 elevated to Bagabaga Demonstration Junior High School in the education ridge suburb of sanarigo from 1996 to1998 where he successfully complete BECE and proceeded to Ghana secondary school Ghanasco from 1999 to 2001 where he studied home economic, majored in clothing and textiles all these schools in Tamale in the Northern region, whiles on campus he involved himself in a lot of school clubs which includes, president of peace mediation club, member and vice president of drama debating club, coordinator of the catholic community, member of writers’ club, upper East students Union and commander of Cadet Corps.


In his basic school days he attended the cadet corps of Tamale secondary school-Tamasco till he completed Junior High School, whiles training as cadet he joined taekwando club.
Immediately after completion of senior high school Cumbolo started working with security companies which he first worked for Delta force security in Accra, skones security in Tamale, edern Security in Bolga and finally with Westec security System Limited also in Accra.
Attended Bolga polytechnic majored in accountancy from 2008 to 2009 completed.
His radio journey started in Bolga in the upper east region with style FM now radio gurune In 2007, according to him, he was introduced to radio by his bosom friend late Christopher Seweh popularly called Mystic Man, in the middle portion of 2009 where he resigned because Ghana Meteorological Agency offered him a job opportunity and posted him to Binduri Bawku in June, 2009 as a weather observer in change of Manga Bawku agrometeo station.
Growing up in school days along the line in his youthful days he was with a Taekwando Marshall art club which he rose in the ranks yellow belt in defence and attack at the youth home centre at Tamale in the northern region.

RADIO JOURNEY:
Those days with Radio gurune Cumbolo co- hosted reggae with Elvis Winimi Apam also known as Lord Bisco who is a teacher by profession with Ghana Education Service. He had the privilege of being trained and coached by late Godwin Narh, Foster Agor known as Dj Sugar and Lansah Musah who are all trained journalist.
Cumbolo’s radio journey started gaining roots when he travelled far to Garu by bicycle to work for Quality FM, in fact Ras Cumbolo is considered one of the pioneers who started hosting reggae music in Kusaug, he used to host a reggae programme

on Quality FM call Roots Rock Reggae in the early 2011 to mid-portion of 2013 where he resigned and remained silent for a while.
Ras Cumbolo started again upon the establishment of Source FM in Bawku, he briefly played test transmission and was never heard again until in January 2017 he bounced back strongly like wild fire on Source FM again with One Drop show and Karem Biilig Sonsug which has touched and change lives of some listeners.
According to history and documentation Ras Cumbolo started as an ordinary presenter which later in 2019 he was promoted as assistant programmes manager which made him responsible to oversee the day to day operation of programmes of the station.


ACHIEVEMENTS
In December, 2009 he was the brain behind the yearly youth programme call Miss Samanpiid in Kusaug to choose a beautiful maiden to represent other maidens of Kusaug at the Samanpiid durbar in Bawku, this idea was mentioned to Hon. David Adoliba then manager of Bayport financial Service who sourced it with money from the Samanpiid committee and today it is a reality for every event organizer in Bawku.
Because of his dedication to radio work and reggae promotion and pushing the agenda of reggae music in upper east region, in 2020 he was awarded best reggae and best local religious talk host of the year organized by Alhassan Art Entertainment, also he was given certificate of honour by Broad Shuldaz Entertainment in 2020 for contributing his quota to the development of Kusaug tradition and customs.
INFLUENCES IN RADIO AND SOCIAL MEDIAL
Ras Cumbolo’s influences in radio and social medial includes the following in Kusaug
*Write up on Facebook with radio talks about infrastructural development and environmental issues in Kusaug which brought positive effects.
*It was his Facebook video reports, TV reports of MTN video reports on TV3 in 2019 that got the attention of duty bearers of Bawku Municipal Assembly to renovate the slaughter house around Wande (Azanga) community.
*The building of a culvert bridge at kpalwega Nabidigo area as a result of reportage made on MTN video report on TV3 in 2019.
*Radio talk with Facebook video with write up got the attention of duty bearers of Binduri district assembly to build new school block of Saint Peter’s primary.

*Binduri market stores
*The construction of kpalwega mazemah road in 2021.
*On the broader side Ras Cumbolo has been able to use radio to influence budding reggae musicians by given them air promotion, granting interview chances and inviting some of them to the studio to do live performance, coaching and suggesting ideas to them to grow in the reggae genre field.


Along the line in the course of these influences some people who felt very uncomfortable of his works on Facebook because of politics reported him severally to the administrators of Facebook restricted him but he still forges on.
