Dastech Recording Studio is the Bawku West District capital ,Zebilla has been burnt to ashes in the middle hours of Sunday 27th November 2022.
The cause of the fire is yet to be identified though it is suspected to be an electrical issue.This studio is located in Kukuruzua a suburbof Zebilla, closer to the custom barrier inside the CEO’s residence (but his house was not touched by the fire). The studio is one of the most contributory factors to the development of gospel music in the upper East Region which has produced about 90% of the Kusaal gospel tracks. This studio has produced songs for artiste like Rev. Philip Azumah, Anneiya Zeruah, Seth Praise, Holikeys, Min. Felicia and many more from the kusaug zone.
The CEO David Anneiya is a Radio Engineer and a builder of amplifiers and speakers. The workshop for these engineering shares the same building with the studio, and this workshop was not exempted. The fire consumed already build amplifiers, speakers, and even some radio transmitters.
According to sources, Amos Musah who is the studio Engineer was working on a project when suddenly the incident happened.
