In the latest development of one of Ghana’s most followed entertainment industry feuds, artiste manager Bullgod has acknowledged receiving Shatta Wale’s public apology but insists the matter remains unresolved. The dancehall artist’s April 30th apology appears to be just one piece of their out-of-court settlement puzzle, with financial obligations still hanging in the balance.
Bullgod, speaking in a May 2nd Joy News interview, confirmed that while the public apology has been issued, Shatta Wale has yet to fulfill the monetary aspect of their agreement – specifically, GH₵100,000 meant to cover Bullgod’s legal expenses.
“The original suit was a million Ghana cedis,” Bullgod revealed during the interview. “If I am taking it out of court, at least the decent thing to do is to pay the legal fees which is supposed to be GH₵100,000 that will go to my lawyers.”
This development marks yet another twist in what has become a prolonged and contentious dispute between the two entertainment industry heavyweights. The defamation case, which has captured public attention throughout its various stages, now stands at a critical juncture.
Industry observers note that if the financial component remains unsettled, the case could potentially return to court, extending what many had hoped was finally reaching a conclusion with Shatta Wale’s public apology.
Neither party has indicated a timeline for resolution, leaving fans and industry stakeholders wondering if this latest chapter will lead to an amicable settlement or reignite legal proceedings.
As this story continues to unfold, it highlights the complex nature of entertainment industry disputes, where public statements and behind-the-scenes negotiations often tell different parts of the same complicated story.
