Kofi Adjorlolo Breaks Silence On Rumoured Marriage Plans With Shatta Wale’s Mother [Video]

Veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo has finally broken silence on rumours circulating that he was going to marry Elsie Avemegah, the mother of dancehall musician, Shatta Wale.



News run rife that the 66-year-old was ready to give love another chance with the artiste’s mother, Madam Evelyn Elsie Avemegah, and they were preparing to tie the knot.


Shatta Wale reacted to the news and gave his blessings to his mother, stating “Kofi Adjorlolo is a prominent man, and he has paid off his dues with regard to his career. He is a great man, so if he wants to marry my mum, it is good”.

But, subsequent reports indicated that Kofi Adjorlolo called off their incoming marriage because his wish for the relationship to remain private was not granted by Shatta Mama, who allegedly leaked the news to media men.


Surprisingly, both Shatta Wale’s mother and Kofi Adjorlolo had kept mute on the whole issue until yesterday when the actor finally broke silence on it during an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM.

In an interview where he was asked to comment on the reports, Kofi Adjorlolo retorted that the whole brouhaha is a fiction of someone’s imagination or a click bait gone wrong.

“There is no truth to the rumours circulating that I am about to marry Shatta Wale’s mother. I’m wondering if it’s a promo these bloggers are running or if they are in it to make money. I don’t know,” he said.


Tackling the news about his marriage with Shatta’s mother, the veteran actor questioned why bloggers would drag an older woman’s name into the limelight for bad publicity.

He also took time to tell bloggers to remember that he has children, although people may not know them, and all he does is want his peace.
