Meek Mill & Asake Announced For Afro Nation Ghana 2022

Meek Mill and Asake have both been revealed for Afro Nation Ghana’s grand return this December,
making it the world’s largest Afrobeats festival’s line-up even more impressive.


Meek Mill is the festival’s first American artist, and this is also his first major appearance in Africa,
after years of talking about visiting Ghana.


Bringing a slew of hip hop’s biggest smash hits with him, he’s frequently seen teaming up with the
game’s biggest names, including Drake, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Post Malone, and former partner Nicki Minaj,
and is no stranger to Afrobeats.
In 2015, the Grammy Award – nominated Philadelphia rapper collaborated with fellow Afro Nation Ghana 2022 headliner

Davido on the single ‘Fans Mi.’ This Ghana debut is a long-awaited moment for both Meek Mill and his many Ghanaian fans,

and it adds to the excitement of this year’s Afro Nation.



Nigerian Afrobeats singer Asake joins Meek Mill on today’s lineup announcement.



Asake, an artist clearly on the rise, brings his vibrant and hotly-tipped brand of “Street-Pop” to the heart of Accra, with global hits like “Bandana” set to steal the show.



Asake is currently featured prominently on both the newly launched Billboard US Afrobeats Chart

and the Official UK Afrobeats Chart.



Afro Nation Ghana will take place on the 29th and 30th of December 2022 at Marine

Drive, Black Star Square.

The event, which was created to unite the diaspora in celebration of Black Joy,

is returning for a celebratory trip of Black culture, vibing music, dance,

good food, and so much more.


This highly anticipated next edition of Afro Nation is set to follow up the 2019 landmark African debut in style,

transforming the end of the year into an unforgettable party.


An impressive lineup of today’s hottest names, including Meek Mill and Asake,

has already been revealed for the festival’s big return. Stonebwoy is joined by Nigerian party king Davido,

the legendary duo P -Square, Rema, Dadju, CKay, Adekunle Gold, Black Sherif, and Ghana’s brightest new

stars Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Gyakie, and Camidoh.



Afro Nation Ghana also features all of the leading Amapiano artists, including Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles,

Kamo Mphela, and DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small’s collaborative project Scorpion Kings,

which brings the hottest sounds of the South African underground to the world.



Afro Nation Ghana follows this summer’s hugely successful Portugal Beach Festival and the

first US show in Puerto Rico in March.



Afro Nation Ghana will take place on the 29th and 30th of December 2022 at Marine Drive,

Black Star Square, Accra.
