Wizkid Beats Davido, Burna Boy, Others With New Record

Popular Nigerian music star, Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has broken new African record with his Made in Lagos album.
The Grammy Award winner bagged a GOLD RIAA US certification for the album “Made in Lagos” after it sold over 500 thousand units.

Made In Lagos’ is the first African album to be certified RIAA Gold.

This puts Wizkid ahead of his other colleagues in terms of album certification.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awards certification based on the number of albums and singles sold through retail and other ancillary markets.

Other Nigerians with RIAA Certifications but with singles include Davido, Burna Boy etc…
