FlameBwoy Urges Maccasio and Fancy Gadam to Collaborate with artists from the Upper Regions (video)

FlameBwoy, who was recently named Best New Artist of 2023 at the Upper East Music Awards (UEMA), is calling on Ghanaian musicians Maccasio and Fancy Gadam to extend their collaborations beyond Tamale-based artists.

In an interview with DJ Costa on Diamond FM in Tamale, FlameBwoy said he hopes the two biggest artists from the northern city will collaborate more with upcoming artists from the Upper East and Upper West regions when releasing new albums.

It can really help bring northern Ghana’s music scene together if they feature artists from all parts of the north,” FlameBwoy said. “There is so much talent in places like Bolgatanga and Wa that deserves more exposure.

FlameBwoy explained that collaborations and features are an impactful way for lesser known artists to gain more listeners and notoriety. If leading musicians like Maccasio and Fancy Gadam spotlight up-and-comers, it can significantly boost their careers.

I know they have a strong local fanbase in Tamale, but it would be great to see them sharing their platforms more for the benefit of all northern artists,” FlameBwoy said. “Working across regional lines can really strengthen and unite the music community.

The Best New Artist honoree said he hopes his words will inspire influential musicians to support emerging talents across northern Ghana. FlameBwoy is optimistic that cross-regional collaboration will continue to grow.

” when they collaborate with us ,we come with out our fanbase which will help us grow together ” he said .
